TAI's PyroFlex® Straps Launch on New Glenn and Turion's Droid.002

It was an eventful Q1 for the team at TAI. Not only were we in the midst of the busiest quarter in company history, but we've had multiple space flight programs launch with our thermal straps onboard. Perhaps most exciting for our team, were the launch of Blue Origin's New Glenn Rocket, and Turion Space's Droid.002 spacecraft (using a combined total of dozens of our highly efficient PyroFlex® graphite sheet straps). While other programs have launched with our PyroFlex® products, the launches by Blue Origin and Turion Space (onboard SpaceX's Transporter-13) now mark the 2nd and 3rd programs with space flight heritage that we can publicly disclose (and celebrate)!

TAI Releases 2025 PyroFlex® Thermal Strap Catalog

The team at TAI just released the 2025 edition of our popular X-Series® Catalog (renamed the PyroFlex® Catalog, as we no longer offer graphene layered sheets as an option). In this year's edition, we've added more helpful design tips and product information (our PyroFlex® straps now have space flight heritage on multiple missions, and have achieved NASA TRL 9). We've also updated the conductance predictions for each model, as all PyroFlex® straps now use our new and exclusive Pyrolytic Graphite Film sheets (offering superior performance and durability over all previous PGS/PGF materials). And finally, as we did with the 2025 CuTS® Catalog, we've also introduced a new X4 series strap to the line! The X4 series is our largest PGF model, and allows customers to have a lightweight thermal link that nets nearly 4 W/K (depending on total length and operating temp).

The team at TAI just released the 2025 edition of our popular CuTS® Catalog! This year's edition was restructured for convenience, and in addition to adding more helpful design tips and product information, we've also introduced the new P40 series straps. The P40 series is our largest model using our 0.20 inch (5mm) diameter cabling, and allows customers to have a fully standard (no custom design NRE required), flexible copper thermal link that nets over 1.75 W/K at room temp, and nearly 4 W/K @10K and 40K.

NASA's Europa Clipper Launches with TAI's Hybrid CuTS® Onboard

The TAI Team is happy to announce (albeit several weeks late) the launch of NASA's Europa Clipper mission. The mission is now on its 1.8 billion-mile journey to Jupiter to survey its moon, Europa. This exciting program will investigate Europa's subsurface ocean to determine if the conditions for life exist there.

HyTI CubeSat Launched with TAI's PyroFlex™ Thermal Straps On Board

NASA launched the Hyperspectral Thermal Imager (HyTI), a satellite built in a collaboration between NASA JPL, the California Institute of Technology, University of Hawaii and the Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory (HSFL), on Thursday, March 21, at 4:55 PM Eastern. The 6U cubesat, launched on the SpaceX SpX-30 Dragon mission to the ISS, represents the next generation of high spatial, spectral, and temporal resolution thermal infrared (TIR) imagery acquisition from LEO.

TAI Delivers PyroFlex® PGS Thermal Straps to IMAP

TAI delivered a set of 10 of our Pyrolytic Graphite Sheet (PyroFlex®) Thermal Straps to Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Laboratory last month, destined for NASA's Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) program.

TAI Delivers Graphite Fiber Thermal Straps for Artemis

TAI recently delivered several of our Graphite Fiber Thermal Straps (GFTS®) to NASA and Lockheed Martin (LMCO), to be used on future flight missions on the Artemis program. The lightweight, highly conductive straps are used to cool the data acquisition systems manufactured by LMCO, and TAI has delivered several hundred GFTS® models to both LMCO and Ball Aerospace in just the last few years. The straps provide vibration isolation and waste heat removal for both the LMCO DAQ's systems and the Phased Antenna Arrays manufactured by Ball on ORION and Artemis, and TAI and will be providing GFTS® and our next gen PyroFlex® graphite sheet straps to both programs later this year as well.
