TAI Provides Cryocooler Thermal Strap for NASA's Psyche Asteroid Mission

TAI is proud to be a supplier to JHU and NASA's Psyche Asteroid Mission. The Psyche mission is a journey to a unique metal asteroid orbiting the Sun between Mars and Jupiter. What makes the asteroid Psyche unique is that it appears to be the exposed nickel-iron core of an early planet, one of the building blocks of our solar system.

Thermal Straps

In late June, TAI delivered the dual-armed, custom cryocooler thermal strap (pictured above), to Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Lab. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this mission, and our continued business with JHU APL!

Come back to our blog for updates on the several spaceflight and terrestrial thermal strap programs being released over the summer and fall of 2018 (there are a LOT of them)...
